Formal Hindi dance (except for the first, a simple portrait). Facial expression, hand and finger positions and body posture are all prescribed by the dance form - they tell a story and are, to the viewer, a language. The images are for a dance programme brochure.

4 months, 2 days agoMy fav is the darkest shot. Nice pose an outstanding lighting to emphasize the textures of the dress. My crits: The cut out background is too flat and noise patteren doesn't match the image. Try introducing some hints of tone with the burn/dodge tool set at 20%. The main light from the right of a couple of shots (but not the first) seems a bit low and "copy light" ish. Might want to try moving it a bit higher or try a big 4x8 white panel slightly higher that her chin. This defines the jawline and smooths the skin.

4 months, 1 day agoMy fav is the last image pose, but I would put a black background on that, as I love the black background with that dress, it makes the dress stand out and it is a very nice contrast. I like the black image alot; however, I am not sure about the lighter color background under the dress, not sure if it was meant to be that way. Lighting is really good. The only thing I noticed on the last image is a small dark piece on her butt, probably part of the dress but it looks like a tail to me.
