The Basics of an Ad RotationModel Republic features a single ad 'skyscraper' format ad rotation. This means that all advertisements on this website are displayed randomly in the rotation. The more ads there are in the rotation, the less likelihood they are seen by prospective customers. This is an important consideration when evaluating your advertising options. Model Republic is planning to feature additional ad spaces in the future, offering our ad partners more options for placement.
What are my Advertising Options?There are two primary options for advertisers. They are:
Option 1: Pay-per-Click Ads: In the pay-per-click model, your advertisement will run on this website until such time as it achieves a predetermined number of click-throughs. This means that no matter how long it takes, your ad will be present in the ad rotation until it reaches its quota of clicks. Model Republic tracks IP addresses, which means that a single user may not cheat the system by clicking on an advertisement multiple times. Therefore each click-through represents a real potential customer who is being taken to your website.
Option 2: Duration Ads: In the duration model, your advertisement will be displayed on this website for a set amount of time. There is no guarantee how many people will view or click on your advertisement. The duration model is useful when your advertisement is time sensitive. For example, you may wish to promote an event happening on a specific date. Obviously, once this date has past, your advertisement would be out of date. With the duration model, the ad will automatically stop running after a predetermined number of days.
Performance & EffectivenessUpon request, Model Republic can supply information about your advertisement's performance. This information details statistics for number of views and number of clicks. The ratio between views and clicks helps you to determine how effective your ad is in eliciting a click-through.
